Before you start

We'll ask you for any information that supports your complaint:

If you are a Business customer, we'll also ask for your customer reference number.

Help with supporting information

  • You can find the title number on HM Land Registry documents, like copies of the title register, or a letter we've sent you.

  • A property address or description is how we identify the address your complaint relates to. For example, '2 Example Row, Exeter, EX1 5AW' or 'land at the east side of Newgate Road'.

  • A HM Land Registry reference is also known as a HMLR reference, HMLR Application reference or ABR.

  • Your customer reference number is the reference you created and asked us to use.
